Associate Professor Piotr G?bara received his PhD degree in 2012 in Institute of Physics, Jan D?ugosz University in Cz?stochowa (Poland). DSc degree received in 2019 in Institute of Physics, Silesian University in Katowice (Poland). He did an internship in Laboratory of Nanomaterials and Applied Magnetism, Institute of Experimental Physics Slovak Academy of Sciences (Kosice, Slovakia, 2016), Institute of Molecular Physics Polish Academy of Sciences (Pozna?, Poland, 2017) and Department of Condensed Matter Physics, University of Seville (Seville, Spain, 2018). In 2015, he received scholarship of Slovak Academic Information Agency and Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scientists. In 2020, he obtained a position of Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, Cz?stochowa University of Technology. In the years 2019-2024 he was deputy head of the Department of Physics, and since 2024 is Vice-Dean fo Students Affairs. In 2023, Prof. G?bara was mentioned in World’s TOP 2% Scientists 2023 ranking. His published work includes more than 100 papers published in reputable international journals.

Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has been retired due to the age limit of 67, following academic life of 45 years.

He published over 80 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 120 conferences and symposia in international and national level as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited speaker, speaker or Poster presenter. He served the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. In particular, he joined in last six years (2014 - 2019) over 60 conferences as Speaker, Keynote Speaker and Conference Co-Chair organized by different companies in different countries.

Additionally, he retired at the end of November 2019, and contributed with Keynote/Plenary Speeches over 230 Virtual/Webinar Conferences, in the coronavirus outbreak and retirement life in five year of his retirement, 2020 and 2024.

Dr. Adiguzel served his directorate of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Firat University in 1999-2004. He supervised 5 PhD- theses and 3 M. Sc theses. He is also technical committee member of many conferences. He received a certificate which is being awarded to him and his experimental group in recognition of significant contribution of 2 patterns to the Powder Diffraction File – Release 2000. The ICDD (International Centre for Diffraction Data) also appreciates cooperation of his group and interest in Powder Diffraction File.

Scientific fields of Dr. Adiguzel: Shape memory effect and displacive phase transformations in shape memory alloys and other alloys, molecular dynamics simulations, alloy modeling, electron microscopy, electron diffraction, x-ray diffraction and crystallography.

Beckry Abdel-Magid is Chair, Professor, and a founding faculty of the department of composite materials engineering at Winona State University. Dr. Abdel-Magid holds two master’s degrees in civil engineering and engineering mechanics and a PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He started his academic career at the University of Maine and was recruited to start a new program in composite materials engineering at Winona State University in 1990. At WSU Dr. Abdel-Magid worked in establishing the only undergraduate program in composite materials engineering in the US and chaired the department for more than 15 years. His research and publications are in characterization and durability of composite materials and application of composites in civil and mechanical infrastructure. He is a recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship, Fulbright Specialist Award, and an ASEE NASA Langley Fellowship. He is a senior research faculty in the Advanced Structures and Composites Center at the University of Maine
